SPGIO Security JV (PTY) LTD

SPGIO Security JV, on behalf of the BCJV, provided security services on all of the Gautrain construction sites for the full duration of the project's construction phase.

Some of the professional and assertive guards who wear Bombela Operating Company uniforms and who guard the Gautrain and its stations are, in fact, SPGIO Security Guards. SPGIO Guards were initially deployed at Hatfield, Pretoria, ORTIA, Rhodesfield and Marlboro stations. As a result of excellent performance, additional sites have subsequently been added to the company's portfolio.

Isithimela Advertising Company (PTY) LTD

Isithimela Advertising Company has secured the media and advertising rights for the Gautrain and SPG has successfully finalised negotiations with JCDecaux South Africa Proprietary Limited, one of the bigger media houses in Africa. The outcome is that JCDecaux – SPG JV has acquired a mandate that covers all Gautrain outdoor advertising opportunities. These include brand activation initiatives.

JCDecaux – SPG JV has embarked on a CAPEX deployment exercise across the entire Gautrain Rail Reserve. The most visible aspects of this process are the numerous light boxes deployed throughout the reserve and these are supplemented by other initiatives like LCD escalator advertising, video walls and static billboards.

Advertising opportunities developed and available for booking consist of advertising light-boxes, non-illuminated advertising frames in areas that are brightly illuminated and outdoor billboards.

Opportunities in radio and print media, where services will initially be rendered to Gautrain, are also being explored by SPG. Major advertising initiatives are launched with a view to externalising SPG's operations to other media platforms.

Isithimela Facilities Services (PTY) LTD

Isithimela Facilities Services (IFS) has secured contracts with both the Bombela Operating Company and the Bombela Maintenance Company. IFS is a wholly owned SPGIO subsidiary.

IFS has signed a contract to maintain all Gautrain buildings and it additionally has responsibility for cleaning the trains.
